DISTRICT SALES MANAGER (OFFICE FURNISHINGS/EQUIPMENT)

As District Sales Manager, you will be managing and leading the sales force (3 sales reps right now, but will be 6 reps very soon) to exceed sales goals. Management style is very hands on and high activity. The territory is Georgia but you will primarily be in metro Atlanta. You will be selling the "high-end" ergonomic computer furniture and accessories such as key boards, mice and special chairs.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Responsible for hiring, developing and leading a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed revenue, profitability and product mix sales goals for ergonomic workplace solutions
-Assist in advancing the sales process for individual sales opportunities within the team
-Assess sales probability and forecast revenue expectations
-Conduct minimum number of interviews in order to maintain bench strength for the sales team
-Observe and participate in sales calls with all team members for sales development and coaching
-Assess sales representative skill sets, create and maintain individual development plans
-Implement established corporate policies, procedures, strategies and manage sales budget
-Manage dealer and direct distribution channel conflict
-Serve as a liaison between customer service and the customer on shipment and quality matters
-Complete sales activity, pending business and 30-60-90 Day forecast reports and general customer service as well as maintain customer contact database
-Strong understanding of all of products
-Effectively work with other company personnel/departments
REQUIREMENTS


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Candidate will have minimum 5 years of business sales experience
- Candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of management or leadership responsibility (in high activity model)
- Bachelor's degree, business, marketing or communications major preferred
- Successful track record of planning and execution as well as personal sales performance
- Working knowledge of MS OFFICE and associated applications are required
- Ability for overnight travel regionally 25%

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge and/or experience in office furniture or related industry, a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities
- Lifting up to 40 Lbs
