Controller/Accounting Manager

Sea Recovery Corporation, a leading marine product manufacturer, which serves a network of dealers and distributors worldwide, is seeking a Controller for our Rancho Dominguez office. As a member of the senior management team you will be reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer. The Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company.

Job Title: Controller/Accounting Manager

Summary: Duties include budgeting, forecasting, risk management, month-end reporting and strategic financial planning and analysis. Candidate will be a hands-on manager with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Controller must be a person with ethical standards, have strong analytical skills and strong management capabilities, general ledger experience, cost accounting, accounts payable/receivable, insurance administration, payroll and banking working knowledge.

Responsibilities Include:

Manage accounting staff of 4
Functional areas, include G/L, A/R, A/P, Payroll, Billing, Credit and Collections
Commissions, Purchasing & Inventory Control
Monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements
Operating and other management reports
Develop and administer budgets and projections
Compare financial performance against budgets
Establish, monitor and enforce polices and procedures
Review financial results with management team
Insurance Administration, Liability, 401K, etc.
Promote teamwork with other members of Accounting Department and/or other operating departments to accomplish objectives.
Direct and train members of the Accounting Department, and provide feedback needed to assist them in completing their tasks.
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 10 years accounting experience
Minimum 3 years Controller experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, verbal, and written
Strong leadership and team management skills
Highly organized with the ability to quickly prioritize rapidly changing assignments and manage multiple priorities to successful resolution.
Strong work ethic
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
MAS90/MAS200 Experience
Strong attention to detail
