Location: Augusta, GAJob Summary:
A Commodity Manager strategically plans, organizes and facilitates the strategic acquisition of materials and services needed to support the various E-Z-GO departments through the leadership of cross-functional commodity teams. This Commodity Manager must clarify E-Z-GO expectations, perform market and competitive analysis, and then develop and implement the appropriate supply strategy and internal process improvements necessary to maximize value from the acquisition.Responsibilities to Include:
Develop and implement commodity strategies that generate a competitive advantage and reduce total cost of assignment commodity.
Rationalize and design the commodity supply base while fully understanding the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection.
Proactively support implementation of commodity strategies by working and communicating effectively with all functions within the company.
Define metrics and baseline supplier performance to adequately measure and drive continuous supplier improvement.
Manage costs strategically across the supply chain…typical sourcing responsibility will be between $40 and $80M of spend.
Negotiate large multi-year complex supplier contracts/pricing.
Manage supplier relationships and resolve major supplier performance issues.
Develop and utilize market intelligence.

REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS ,MBA or equivalent desired.Position Requirements:
Experience in operations and/or procurement including a proven track record of implementing sourcing activities.
Strong sourcing, negotiation, and contracting skills with demonstrated success in managing complex supplier relationships.
Solid project management experience with the ability to develop strong support for change.
Experience managing supplier productivity and working with suppliers for value creation.
High level of diplomacy and a demonstrated comfort interacting with people at all levels within an internal organization and external supplier organizations.
Outstanding leadership skills including established comfort in leading commodity teams and managing agreement implementations in a complex environment Rationalize and design the commodity supply base while fully understanding the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection.
Robust problem solving and analytical skills backed by solid computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, internet, etc.).
Self-driven, results-oriented, and motivated to work effectively without direct supervision.
Strong written/oral communication skills.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, financial reporting, and legal aspects of procurement.License and Certification Requirements:
