Clinical Nurse Manager-Transplantation*

PRIMARY PURPOSE:



Under the supervision of the Director - Transplantation, the Clinical Manager provides for the delivery of efficient and effective professional nursing care for the Transplant programs. The position ensures that nursing care provided is consistent with established nursing care standards and that care is provided in a safe, appropriate and cost-effective manner. The Clinical Manager is responsible for the supervision, management and development of staff; for planning, directing and monitoring of operations; and for assisting the Associate Director - Transplantation in fiscal and quality management of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS


Education/Certification:



1. BSN or equivalency required; MSN preferred

2. Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of California required.

3. Basic Life Support required

4. Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) preferred



Experience:



Minimum of seven years clinical experience in an acute care setting. A minimum of two years of this experience must be in a critical care setting. Transplant background is strongly preferred. Previous supervisory or management experience is required.
