Clinical ManagerSummary: This is a non-uniformed full-time position performed as the employee’s regular duties. The Clinical Director will be responsible for acting as a liaison between Pridemark and the Medical Directors, overseeing the field instruction program, working with field employees on quality improvement issues, and providing instruction in EMS topics based on current State and National guidelines. These topics will be provided to Pridemark Employees, Fire Departments associated with Pridemark, and other response agencies. This position will also require the delivery of CPR and first aid programs to user agencies. Required Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee continuing education for the employees in the division including teaching, tracking hours/categories, and scheduling of CE classes.Report employee or system deficiencies to the Operations Director/VP of Operations.Assist with the company quality management process at the direction of the Physician Advisor/ Director of Operations/VP of Operations.Assist in discussion, development, and implementation of new protocols at a system wide level.Track field employee certificationsObserve and critically review all aspects of patient care.Manage the controlled substance tracking and distribution.Facilitate regular field instructor reviews and meetings, report any issues to the Director of Operations.Address routine issues with the field instructors and field crews.Maintain open line of communication with the field crews, as well as the Director of Operations and the Medical Director.Implement company QA/QI process at the direction of the Medical Director and/or the Director of Operations.Develop and implement the call review and system evaluation.Review data to track system issues and individual issues as they relate to the clinical aspect of ambulance service operations.Assist in discussion, development, and implementation of new protocols at a system wide level.Participate in medical reviews, unusual circumstance reviews and safety reviews as necessary to ensure smooth, safe ambulance operation and patient care.Act as a positive role model for all Pridemark employees by maintaining a high level of professionalism and efficiency in daily operations.Identify and develop and implement education on potential areas of concern in patient care and documentation.Review Patient Care Reports and enter them into the database as appropriate.Coordinate with the Medical Director, Director of Operations and Field Instructors in providing feedback and corrective action with employees as needed.Work as a paramedic in the field with some frequency.Participate in interview process by overseeing the practical skills station.Maintain a high level of professionalism and efficiency in daily operations.Understand and follow all Pridemark protocols, policies, and procedures.Attend meetings as required.Generate and review reports from the database.Audit/abstract Patient Care Report information.Manage the Quality Management database.
