Assistant Manager - Springfield

AFTER HOURS FORMALWEAR ( www.afterhours.com), has an Assistant Store Manager position available at White Oaks in Springfield, IL due to our growth!


Assistant Store Manager:
The Assistant Store Manager provides guidance, direction and development to the store team in order to achieve all revenue, profit and customer service goals. They need to have full retail scheduling flexibility and travel flexibility including overnight.

Assistant Store Manager Primary Responsibilities Include:

Generating personal sales and registering weddings to standards set in performance metrics

Maintaining the highest standards of customer service

Sales responsibility to include performance management for selling metrics

Store staffing; recruit and hire to a staffing plan

Employee training and development

Maintenance of store and visual displays

Performance of outreach duties to support in-store sales

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of college preferred

4 years supervisory experiences in a retail environment

Demonstrated personal selling skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities

A sense of urgency regarding customer service and sales results

Highly organized with a detail orientation and proven follow-up skills

Demonstrated problem solving skills

The ability to remain calm under challenging circumstances

Demonstrated initiative in planning and organizing events and activities

Demonstrated management skills to include; coaching, training, recruiting and communication
