The Area Manager supervises a team of Program Managers and has operational oversight within a designated group of schools. General responsibilities include but are not limited to: training and ongoing professional development of employees; building and maintaining client/community relations to encourage student enrollment and retention and to ensure client satisfaction; ensuring program quality and student achievement results; and financial accountability for the area.Preferred skills and experiences include:
Experience managing large teams of talent in multiple locations (heavy labor management experience strongly preferred).
Ability to build rapport within the local community, area faith-based organizations and school administration (established relationships among these constituents highly desirable).
Ability to build program awareness through grass roots, community-based marketing efforts.
Demonstrated track record in a highly accountable environment to include quality assurance detailed reporting and record keeping, and consistent attainment of financial goals.
Proven track record in managing sizable budgets, containing costs and implementing cost savings measures.
Ability to identify, measure and exceed service goals.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements include:
An understanding of the K-12 education environment and relationships within its key constituencies is critical to the incumbent’s success.
Prior staff management, multi-site operations and budgeting experience. A minimum of 5 years experience in related areas of education and/or business.
A higher education degree is required.
