Activities Director

Baptist Village - Sun Ridge, is a leader in providing compassionate care for Seniors in a beautiful skilled nursing facility located in Surprise, Arizona. We seek an energetic and enthusiastic self-starter to join our team as the Director of Social Service/Admissions.

Our Director of Social Service/Admissions is responsible for providing professional, supportive services to individual Residents, their families/caregivers, the care team, and other Baptist Village departments. Also helps Residents, family members/caregivers deal with problems of age, illness, disability, family relationships, emotional, spiritual, and psycho-social needs, and economic and environmental factors. Focuses on the care of the total person. Works closely with other interdisciplinary team members in assessing the types of services, care, and treatment needed for Residents and family members to have the highest quality of living.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated professional with a background and education in Social Service and/or Admissions. Other important attributes include:

•A passion for serving elders – to help them recognize the value and purpose of their lives and to experience dignity, respect and self-worth

•Professional image and the ability to interact with prospective residents and their families in a compassionate and caring manner

•Strong written and verbal communication skills

•Creativity in identifying ways to increase facility visibility in the community

•Cultivation of new referral sources and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with current sources

REQUIREMENTS
•A Bachelor of Social Work degree or related degree, preferred but not required.

•Awareness of services and programs available and the ability to organize and carry out a social service program.

•Previous admissions experience in a healthcare setting a plus.

•General working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, such as Word, Excel and Outlook

•Ability to work occasional weekends to oversee in the admissions process.
