ASSISTANT MANAGER - APPAREL

Ski Market Ltd., Inc. is looking to hire an Assistant Manager - Apparel for the Norwalk, CT. location.


The Assistant Manager will work under the supervision of the Store Manager. This qualified candidate will assist the Store Manager with the leadership of the store and the management of the Apparel Department.

Responsibilities:
Demonstrate leadership in driving sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding all established store and individual goals
Responsible for managing, merchandising and training the Apparel Department.
Maintain dialogue with respective buyers and manage the department inventory
Assist the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations
Train staff in all areas of store operations, standards, products and procedures
Ensure proper processing and display of merchandise Oversee and monitor shrink reduction plans
Maintain and ensure accuracy of inventory
Manage daily activity of the sales floor
Assist in all store functions as needed

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2+ years' retail management experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Positive, customer first attitude
Strong merchandising and supervisory skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Able to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment
Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
