Writer/ Producer

Purpose:
CREATIVE SERVICES/PROMOTIONS
The WB11 is looking for an upbeat, motivated, and energetic Writer Producer for our Creative Services/Promotions Department to assist with development of concepts and strategies for selected programming, including formulating a marketing strategy, creating themes, and coordinating all elements needed to produce effective video materials. The successful candidate must be able to write scripts and select accompaniments such as music, sound effects, and graphics from internal and external sources as well as write, produce and edit topical, episodic and sweeps radio and commercial spots as necessary; Participate in development of concepts and ideas for other marketing and advertising campaigns; Organize video/film shoots as needed and coordinate special projects as assigned, including but not limited to radio cross-promotions, Internet promotions, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates must possess a minimum 3 years experience at a television station as an on-air producer. Must have attention to detail and accuracy with excellent oral and written communication skills; Must have strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task; Proficiency with non-linear editing equipment, specifically Avid and must be creative and have strong video production and editing skills.
