Staff Writer - Prattville Progress

We are looking for a Staff Writer for the Prattville Progress. The position is responsible for generating story ideas, planning beat coverage, writing clear, concise and accurate news and features stories, both self-generated and assigned. The position is also responsible for researching and gathering background information from a variety of sources, conducting interviews and taking notes. Pay rate will be $8.70 - $12.84 per hour, and will vary with experience. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of experience. This position also requires a valid drivers license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
