Senior Marketing Specialist/Senior Writer (Contract Position)

Seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist/Senior Writer for a 4-6 month contract opportunity.

•Overarching communications strategist that is familiar with a multi-disciplinary approach to building corporate image and enhancing customer relationships
•Self-motivated individual who can work across organization to gather information needed to move projects forward
•Creative thinker who can bring new ideas, processes and thoughts to the table
•Comfortable challenging the status quo with the drive to deliver best practices
•Strong, creative writer with particular emphasis on customer communications
•Ability to weave consistent messaging in all materials
•Ability to interpret complicated, highly-technical information in easy-to-understand language

Scope of Responsibilities:
•Brings a “customer voice” to all writing that helps to build on the new gas distribution image
•Experience with recommending the right communications vehicles to deliver specific messages
•Comfortable leading and measuring direct mail appeals
•Oversee strategic direction of Energize!
•Provides a “web” voice that matches our customer focus both in posted copy and in response to queries
•Oversees implementation of AskPeoples.com
REQUIREMENTS
All applicants MUST have:
7-10 years as senior communications strategist
•10+ years in customer-focused writing
•10+ years project management
•Experience with managing external resources/agencies as well as providing client-centric support internally
•Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines
•Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or related field
•Agency experience a plus

Skills Desired:
•Ability to juggle multiple and project deadlines and reach a timely conclusion within budget
•Expert at AP style
•Familiarity with managing translations to second language
•Strong leadership skills
•Excellent organizational skills
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Effective team player with strong initiative and work ethic
•Broad knowledge of customer satisfaction measurement
•Familiarity with utilities or regulated industry a plus
