Quality Inspector (2nd Shift)

Inspects products manufactured or processed for government use to ensure compliance with contract specification by performing the following duties.

Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, company’s quality control system for compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards.

Inspect circuit card and other assemblies for compliance to IPC-610, J-STD-001 and customer specifications. Performs “set up” inspections on processes, performs 1st piece inspections and sampling inspections on products immediately following critical processes. May include monitoring facilities and equipment for ESD requirements.

Examines company’s records to secure such information as size and weight of product and results of quality tests.

Inspects mechanical parts using basic measuring tools.

Stamps mark of approval or rejection on product and writes report of examinations.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent with three years experience in related electronic environment, with a high level understanding of the processes related to electronic manufacturing. Must posses the ability to read and interpret customer supplied drawings and internal documentation packages to assure the quality of product to customer requirements. Should also have experience in clerical duties such as word processing, excel spreadsheets, computer records, and other office maintenance skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to communicate with others effectively, including manufacturing, engineering and other personnel to resolve issues related to the duties and responsibilities. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Will be required to pass certifications specific to the job.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods at a time, handle stressful situations, multi-tasking, work under time constraints, work some overtime as required, and work with some chemicals and bonding agents.
