QA Representative - Audit & Advisory Resources



Responsibilities

Perform reviews of title agent work related to underwriting and closing activities, timeliness, accuracy of remittances, backlogs, and verification of appropriate business practices and accounting controls
Recommend specific remedies regarding management attention and work documentation
Review potential title agency partners and provide documented feedback on findings and recommendations
Prepare quality assurance documentation
Assess existing audit programs and recommend improvements to accomplish audit objectives
Provide training for staff and management on various aspects of title insurance processing
Maintain updated knowledge of rules, regulations, and standards in the title insurance industry and current state law
Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of real estate and lending practices, title insurance production, underwriting, and closing procedures
Understanding of title agency relationship and title office production issues
Ability to plan and perform standard reviews, including accounting reviews of escrow accounts and verification of three way reconciliation
Ability to appraise and verify escrow accounting and underwriting practices, ensuring consistent application of accepted industry standards
Strong negotiating, decision-making, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate a personal computer and use Microsoft Office software and Internet Explorer
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to travel
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field, with three to five years of professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications

Degree, certification, and/or experience in law or as a paralegal or closer
