Litigation Support Specialist
Must be a U.S. Citizen. The contract employee shall possess extensive technical experience which demonstrates skills in designing and developing databases from a variety of electronic discovery materials, organizing volumes of data delivered in various formats, developing quality control (QC) mechanisms, and supporting/training users as they utilize the databases.
The individual must also have strong project management and communication skills in order to develop systems documentation, effectively generate status reports, set priorities, meet deadlines and communicate with officials and high-level employees within and outside of the organization.
Contact technical support as necessary for the various software and hardware systems; communicate with software and hardware support technicians, EOUSA Automated Litigation Support (ALS) support personnel, in-house ALS staff, or ALS technicians from other districts.
Develop any systems documentation that will allow another ALS technician to provide on-going support for the database systems. This documentation will include the step by step processes used to develop the databases, to convert file formats, and to resolve problems.
The assigned tasks involve managing electronic discovery, designing and developing databases using standard USAO applications, providing project management for all of the technical activities for one or more major cases and/or investigations, converting various file formats, troubleshooting software and data issues, implementing quality control mechanisms, and providing effective end user support and training.The contract employee shall be proficient in various litigation support software programs (specifically, Concordance, IPro (ver. 8.5 or higher), ISYS, CaseMap, Sanction, ScanIT, E-ScanIT, and Microsoft Access).
The Contractor must also be proficient with hardware in order to install memory, DVD/CD drives, and internal and external hard drives.
In addition, the Contractor must have expertise working with high speed scanners, network storage systems, and a variety of media including internal and external hard drives, DVDs, and CDs.
