Surveillance Investigator positions available in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas. Applicants should have, or be able to obtain, a "C" Private Investigator or "CC" Private Investigator Intern license from the state of Florida. This is a full time position.Applicants should also have a vehicle in good condition with tinted windows and properly insured; a good quality camcorder with zooming feature and other equipment or accessories necessary for surveillance work. A covert camera is not required to apply, but you will eventually need it.We're looking for individuals with an abundance of energy and self-motivation to work independently after completing orientation and training. You must also be able to write good reports and be proficient with computers and the Internet.
We are looking for serious applicants who enjoy conducting moving surveillance assignments and have what it takes to get the job done. We demand discipline and strong work ethics from our investigators, but if you have what it takes, we'll usually keep you busy doing what you enjoy doing.
Compensation is commensurate with experience, educational background and equipment owned. In order to comply with federal labor laws, we pay overtime for any work in excess of 40 hours per week. Mileage and other investigative expenses are reimbursed. Lower hourly rates apply for trainees.All selected applicants must be able to pass a background check. REQUIREMENTS
All applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain a “CC” or “C” Private Investigator License from the State of Florida. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, disciplined and enthusiastic about their jobs. Good report writing skills and a great deal of common sense are also essential for this type of work.
All applicants considered for employment must at least meet the following qualifications and have the following equipment:
Be able to pass a complete background check.
Submit to a pre-employment drug test, if employment is offered.
Have prior experience in investigations and/or surveillance work or meet the requirements for internship. Own or be able to immediately acquire a quality video camcorder with true zoom capabilities. Owning a covert (undercover) camera, in addition to a regular video camera, is a plus.
A good quality pair of binoculars.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Internet and have a computer to receive and send assignments.
Most assignments are during the day, but applicants should be ready to work some nights and weekends, when needed. The job requires a flexible work schedule and occasional travel within Florida.
Must have the ability to prepare good investigate reports. (We provide the format and instructions for reports)
Good communication skills are a plus.
Must be willing to testify in court or at depositions.
