PATROL
Patrols designated areas, determines if a crime has been committed, enforces laws, writes citations, investigates traffic accidents, makes arrests, and transports arrestee; performs related duties as required. The incumbent uses their own judgment in the performance of duties, referring unusual, unique or complex issues to their supervisor for advice and guidance. The position is located in the Ada County Sheriff's Office, Police Services Bureau, Patrol Division. $15 - $15.58/hr.

DETENTION
Performs general duty jail work in the caring for and maintaining of custody of inmates and in the providing of security for the Ada County Jail. Performs related work as required. The incumbent uses their own judgment in the performance of duties, referring unusual, unique or complex issues to their supervisor for advice and guidance. Position is located in the Ada County Sheriff's Office, Jail and Court Services Bureau. $14 - $14.60/hr.

REQUIREMENTS
PATROL
•Must have either 64 college credits or an Associates Degree from an accredited college or university OR have served 4 years consecutive and fulltime military service OR have 2 years of prior fulltime experience in law enforcement with a recognized public safety agency as a commissioned or licensed law enforcement officer; and
•Must be at least 21 years of age


DETENTION
•High school diploma or equivalent; and
•Must be at least 21 years of age
