Corporate Matters Attorney

Connecticut corporation seeks a Corporate Matters Attorney with expertise in general corporate counseling. Experience with insurance regulatory matters and political law compliance (lobbying and political action committee fundraising) would be a significant plus.

Overall position responsible for: providing legal support to the company's Procurement organization including negotiating IT and non-IT contracts, drafting standard forms, and training of staff on significant legal developments. Managing corporate insurance regulatory filings with a focus on the Insurance Holding Company Act. Reviewing advertising and marketing materials. Providing legal advice regarding media relations issues on a full range of intellectual property issues, building security, environmental matters, document management, flight operations, enterprise continuity, political law issues including PAC fundraising, lobbying law compliance and conflict of interest and gift law compliance as well as providing legal support to the company's Corporate Compliance department including drafting and reviewing company policies.
