-The position for Copyright/Licensing Assistant is located in Mobile, AL. Only Apply if you're willing to relocate to Mobile, AL.

Purpose and Summary:
Responsible for processing of non-commercial and simple mechanical licenses and maintaining all license files. Assists and supports the Copyright/Licensing Administrator with processing copyright licenses; registration of and indexing of compositions with the Copyright Office, CCLI, performance rights societies, subpublishers; and other general publishing tasks and responsibilities.

Reporting Relationships:
Reports to the Vice President, Music Administration. The Copyright/Licensing Administrator oversees daily work responsibilities.

Responsibilities:Receives all non-commercial license requests, and issues licenses; enters license data in the licensing tracking/processing system; responds to all related customer service inquiries and correspondence.Under the direction of the Copyright/Licensing Administrator, processes other licenses as needed and maintains license files.Assists Copyright/Licensing Administrator in securing single songwriter agreements and maintain song files.Maintains tracking system to insure timely execution and proper royalty collection related to non-commercial licenses.In conjunction with royalty processing staff, communicates with licensees regarding any remittance errors or other questions related to royalty payments.Under the direction of the Copyright/Licensing Administrator register or index songs with the Library of Congress, CCLI, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and other agencies as needed and communicate with these agencies as necessary.Back up the Assistant to the VP, Music Administration in answering/screening telephone calls and responding to license applications received through the Integrity website. Handles all general customer service inquiries, and completes related administrative tasks. Serves as backup and relief for Assistant to the VP, Music Administration, and provides administrative support to VP, Music Administration, in the absence of the Assistant.Posts royalty transmittals related to non-commercial licenses and assists in posting other transmittals as necessary.Prepare special management reports upon request, including monthly license summaries.Other assignments related to Music Administration functions as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Music Business or related experience and training; undergraduate degree in Business or Music Business (preferable); must be organized, and possess proficient math and typing skills; willingness to learn new responsibilities; must be able to prioritize the variety of tasks and be flexible in order to accommodate priority shifts; ability to keep matters confidential; must have pleasing telephone personality and good communication skills in order to serve licensees/customers, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people.
