Contract Administrator, Defense, FAR/DAR

TITLE: Contract Administrator --- Temp to Perm Assignment

Salary Range for Permanent $50-60K (DOE)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Contract Administrator provides and coordinates contract activities from receipt of requests for proposals, to proposal preparation and submission, to contract negotiation, to contract performance and payment. Depending upon experience and capabilities, the Contract Administrator may be assigned responsibility for any small to medium dollar contracts and any administrative matters associated with the Contracts Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Review and coordinate proposal activities.

2. Prepare and process intra-company direction for proposal preparation (IFQs).

3.Review proposal cost data for compliance with customer requests and applicable regulations and requirements (e.g. FAR/DFAR) and participate in pricing meetings.

4.Review and negotiate terms and conditions.

5.Prepare and submit proposal exhibits covering prices and delivery.

6.Review contracts and purchase orders received and draft and issue work authorizations (Production Orders) that accurately reflect contract requirements. Coordinate with the Program manager on these matters when necessary.

7.Monitor contract performance and delivery, and provide information to appropriate persons.

8.Identify (or receive), propose, and negotiate contract changes, modifications, non-disclosure agreements, bailment agreements, and other agreements necessary for performance of company work..

9.Document and maintain contract files.

10.Assist Accounts Receivable in collection of payments in accordance with the contract terms.

11.Serve as the official company interface with the customer on all business related matters.

12.Maintain knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, company procedures, contract requirements and applicable regulations, statutes, and requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, export regulations (ITAR), FAR/DFAR, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Truth in Negotiations Act, and the Economic Espionage Act of 1996.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS

1.Successful completion of college level course work; graduation from a two or four year college or university is preferable.
2.Completion of seminars, training, and/or self study programs related to U.S. federal government procurement (FAR/DFAR), export laws, and related topics.
3.Two to five years of contract administration experience is required, at least two of which must have been related to FAR/DFAR contracting.
4.Or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
5.Capability to travel by air and car.
