FTI, a global leader in providing critical solutions to corporations, the legal community, and the financial sector is seeking an experienced Senior Case Manager for its Chicago office in FTI’s global risk and investigations practice.
This practice focuses on (a) corporate internal investigations, involving allegations of fraud, misappropriation of assets, theft of trade secrets, corporate corruption, and other internal de-stabilizing events, (b) business intelligence, including pre-transactional due diligence for the financial sector, competitive assessments, and hostile takeover defense and dissident shareholder investigations, and (c) dispute-related investigations, including asset investigations and specialized fact-finding before and during litigation and arbitration proceedings. This position provides the opportunity to work on extremely challenging investigations, requiring tremendous analytical skills, creativity, judgment, and ethics.

In thie role you will be performing the folling duties on a day to day basis:
Provide hands on, day-to-day management of fraud, corporate, due diligence, business intelligence and dispute-related investigations.
Manage and provide direction to staff, including research analysts and field investigators.
Develop and execute appropriate strategies and methodologies for investigations.
Engage in full life-cycle investigative work including tasking resources, coordinating and integrating information and evidence from various sources, and conducting interviews.
Draft client-ready, detailed reports and memoranda and deliver finalized work products to clients with minimal oversight from practice leaders.
Communicate regularly with practice leaders and clients regarding objectives, strategy, and status.
Support business development activities with senior management as needed.
Utilize various computer applications for record-keeping, report formatting, forms, cost tracking, etc.
Manage case economics and administration.
Prepare billing and monitor collections.
Travel 40-50% nationally on project work as needed. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors’ degree required; advanced degree helpful.
At least eight years private-sector experience in hands-on management of internal investigations, due diligence inquiries, business intelligence matters, and dispute-related investigations.
Facility with conducting on-line research and analysis using commercial databases and the Internet.
Experience with analyzing and synthesizing public record documents.
Demonstrated ability to generate clear and concise written work product.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively
Capacity to direct and supervise more junior professionals.
Proficiency with PC and networked environments, including MS Office.
