Paralegal-Corporate
Serve as primary paralegal assistant to the Company's Assistant General Counsel Corporate & Assistant Secretary, shall assist in the management of corporate formalities for numerous subsidiaries, assist in mergers & acquisitions and perform other domestic and international legal activities as required.

Contributing to the Company's revenue stream are more than 50 associated companies. Worldwide operations for the Wrigley Company are carried out through a close-knit workforce of over 15,000 individuals.
The Law Department is responsible for (1) governing, managing and administering all the Company's legal affairs worldwide, (2) tracking and liasing with local counsel in the administration of shareholder and board meetings of the associated companies and the management of local transactions with the parent company or sister companies, and (3) maintaining central copies of corporate records for all associated companies.
The incumbent will be primarily responsible for (1) managing and administering all corporate formalities for the associated companies by liasing with local management and local counsel to ensure that all required meetings, reports and filings are made in a legally appropriate and timely manner and in accordance with corporate policies and procedures,
(2) assisting in the implementation and documentation of local and intercompany transactions as and when needed, (3) assisting in the mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions as and when requested, (4) preparing draft correspondence and by performing some administrative tasks and other tasks as may be needed, and (5) maintaining a corporate information database for the associated companies. He incumbent will also be required to identify legal, policy, procedural or other issues and either resolve them successfully or bring them to the attention of the appropriate attorney. These responsibilities will also encompass legal, legislative, administrative or other proceedings related to these position responsibilities.
This position requires willingness to gain knowledge about the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, its operations, and the established policies and procedures by which the Company's activities are governed. The incumbent must possess strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and must be able to communicate effectively, excel as part of a team environment and to work successfully with clients, members of the Law Department, outside counsel and third parties. The incumbent must also be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while under deadline pressures. Finally, the incumbent must constantly strive to bring innovative solutions to repetitive administrative processes and all business issues.

Bachelor's Degree, successful completion of the Certified Legal Assistant certifying (CLA) examination of the National Association of Legal Assistants is highly desirable, but not required. Must have at least 5 years experience as a corporate paralegal in house or at a major law firm.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
High-level working knowledge and proficiently with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel and Power Point. Ability to learn and master additional computerized programs as needed. Willingness to obtain job related continuing education as needed.
