We are seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time, challenging position as a Litigation Paralegal. Applicant must enjoy litigation support in diverse matters involving civil rights, personal injury, Section 1983 claims, and government administrative actions. A successful candidate will be comfortable appearing in court on agreed orders or other procedural presentations. A professional and positive demeanor is a necessity.
Miller, Quinlan and Auter, PC is a mid-size established law firm in Fircrest (Tacoma), Washington. We are seeking an energetic, bright paralegal to join our team of experienced professionals. Our clients include health care providers, casino owners, casino workers, injured adults and children, government employees, law enforcement officers and officials, business owners, and social service providers.
Candidate must possess interest in complex litigation where the documentation is voluminous. Tasks such as tracking discovery, file organization, interrogatories, and requests for production are common. Maintaining schedules and calendaring events is also required.
The paralegal will manage a diverse workload, completing multiple and competing tasks within tight deadlines. Must be proactive and able to work effectively both independently and as a team member with a variety of professional styles. Ability to prioritize facts and analyze information. Comfortable researching case law and rules.
Must have computer proficiency with common office software including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with civil rules of procedure in King, Pierce and Thurston County Superior Courts as well as Federal Court, the Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

Compensation: $20- $28.00 per hour
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
2-3 years of civil litigation, corporate and transactional experience.
Paralegal certification preferred.
Excellent computer skills; MS Office (Word, Excel and Windows)
Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized.
Knowledge of Washington court proceedings highly desirable
Strong, positive interpersonal skills a must.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
College Degree - Preferred
All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
