REQUIREMENTS
The Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP is currently recruiting for a full-time 2nd Shift Legal Secretary to work Tuesday-Friday from 5:00 p.m. to Midnight and Saturday 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Legal Secretaries are responsible for providing secretarial support to our attorneys in a variety of practice areas. Duties include, but are not limited to, typing, formatting, editing and finalizing legal documentation, attorney time entry, preparing spreadsheets and client presentations, and general secretarial duties as assigned.The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of recent and direct legal secretarial experience (preferably in a large law firm), excellent communication and organizational skills, a customer service orientation, a proactive work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to work well under pressure and flexibility for overtime. Candidates must have advanced proficiency working in MS Word 2000 and be proficient in formatting documents utilizing styles. A minimum typing speed of 55+ wpm is required. PowerPoint and Excel experience are also strongly preferred. Please Note: All applicants are required to take a pre-interview Word skills assessment test in order to determine their level of proficiency.
