Unit Supply Specialist

The Unit Supply Specialist (USS) is a Tennessee Army National Guard Soldier that supervises or performs duties involving request, receipt, storage, issue, accountability, and preservation of supplies and equipment for a Guard Unit. This critical member of the Guard team will become a proficient warehouse manager, maintaining his/her unit’s supply chain in order to maintain a constant state of readiness for his/her Guard unit.

The Tennessee Army National Guard is an elite group of warriors who dedicate a portion of their time to serving their nation. Guard members train part-time to be ready full-time, should their state or nation call them to serve.

Major Duties

Receives, inspects, inventories, loads, unloads, segregates, stores, issues, delivers and turns-in supplies and equipment
Prepares all unit/organizational supply documents
Maintains automated supply system for accounting supplies and equipment
Secures and controls weapons and ammunition in security areas
Schedules and performs preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons

REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED (If you do not have a diploma or GED, you may still apply - ask a recruiter about how the Army National Guard can help you earn your GED)
Between the ages of 17 and 39
Normal color vision
Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
Ability to lift heavy objects
