Statistician/Forecasting Analyst
SUMMARY
Looking for a candidate that is self motivated and has experience with retail link, forecasting, sales, and experience as a Replenishment Analyst. This position will be working with Wal-Mart and Sam's Club.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Management of internal forecasts for Wal*Mart and Sam's Club business.
Work with Inventory Managers to manage production plans.
Maintain daily Inforem ordering.
Assist the Account Managers with line review planning, preparation and execution.
Regular communication with Replenishment Managers to provide suggested orders, replenishment setting suggestions, and assistance as necessary.
Responsible for daily and weekly report submission to Wal*Mart HQ.
Provide regular and Adhoc data analysis for team with actionable recommendations.
Aid in resolution of account order issues.
All other duties as may be assigned by other members of management.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and up to four years related experience; or advanced degree and up to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to use industry standard computing equipment including, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows 95 or higher, word processing software package(s) (Word 95 or higher) and spreadsheet software package(s) (Lotus 1-2-3 and/or Microsoft Excel).
