Senior Director of Software Engineering

Purpose: TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to join our team at our client site for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Frederick, Maryland. Candidates must have hands on experience in the Microsoft.NET development platform and experience with the C# language.

Qualified candidates must also have experience developing strategic plans identifying I. T. applications to support business plans and creating new strategic options. In addition, candidates must have project management experience that consists of:
-Insuring timelines and milestones are met through full project life-cycle.
-Assigning and managing development tasks.
-Managing project budgets.
-Managing research and development teams.
-Mentoring engineers in best practices and career development.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for managing a team of approx. 10 people.
