Safety and Loss Prevention Manager

Our new Safety & Loss Prevention Manager will ensure compliance to federal and state law as it applies to Safety in a fulfillment center environment, Ensure compliance to federal regulated safety programs such as Lockout Tagout, Fall Protection, Fire Prevention, Emergency Procedures and Evacuation and other such programs as described in 29 CFR. They will develop and implement training programs to meet the needs of managers and associates in regards to critical safety issues such as Powered Industrial Trucks etc. as well as develop and maintain ergonomics programs where needed.Is essential that they maintain required paperwork to comply with federal law such as OSHA 300 logs, analyze accident data and build prevention programs to impact accident trends, build management and employee commitment for a Safety and Loss Prevention program through influence not authority!Provide daily management and supervision of the contract guard force at our fulfillment center, surface, investigate and bring to conclusion investigations as they relate to Safety, Workplace Violence, Internal and External Dishonesty.



The Safety & Loss Prevention Manager will investigate and document losses and security-related incidents by interviewing and gathering facts from victims and witnesses, collecting and preserving of items of evidentiary value, taking written statements, providing support to senior investigative personnel, entering information in a security incident database, and interfacing with law enforcement and other emergency services personnel as well as provide oversight / management of installed security technology (card access, CCTV and alarm systems) by supervising the use of technology, developing and / or implementing procedures relative to the use of technology, identifying and reporting system irregularities and malfunctions, and coordinating repair/installation activities.

The successful candidate will develop & implement short and long term loss prevention programs by establishing local procedures/programs designed to identify and mitigate loss vulnerabilities and actual losses, and implementing standard company programs to achieve those objectives. Develop / implement programs to create employee awareness of their role in the protection of employees and company assets (property, information and public image).
REQUIREMENTS




EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



BS/BA (preferably in a business or safety/security related area) is REQUIRED.

Minimum 5 years of work experience preferably in a Safety and Loss Prevention role

Professionally Board Certified in Safety preferred

Experience with OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910

Experience in a VPP site or developing a VPP program preferred

Retail-Distribution Center Safety required
