SAFETY/HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Western, MA Region-Webster/B.H. Trucking is a well known and growing privately held trucking company, and one of the largest third party transportation providers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.Based in a Western, MA facility, the aggressive, pro-active and hands-on individual we seek will be responsible for: overseeing all Safety/ Compliance related aspects of a work group containing 150 + CDL-A drivers
adhering to all FMCSA rules and regulations
directing the recruitment efforts for Company Drivers/Owner Operators
understanding Transportation Safety principles/practices
analyzing trend reports and related data to establish most help needed areas
implementing activities and process improvement in the Safety arena
attending trade shows and career fairs as needed
responding to an ever-changing/wide variety of business requirements
handling other related duties as assignedTo qualify, you must have 2+ years experience in the Transportation Industry in a Safety sensitive function, exceptionally strong ability to work well with a diverse work group, familiarity with employment laws/practices, and experience recruiting CDL-A drivers. Ability to read safety trend analysis reports, prepare clear concise reports, and familiarity with DOT and OSHA Compliance Regulations essential. PC proficiency (MS Office Suite), excellent oral/written communication skills, and the ability to work independently will be expected.
