There’s a lot that happens before an IKEA store opens. An important task is seeing that goods received find their way to the shelves in the right proportion, something handled by the store’s many Replenishment Co-workers. The goal of our Replenishment Co-workers is to ensure the sales spaces in the store are fully stocked before the store opens. This requires knowledge of how to achieve efficiency and create a commercial store by maximising door to floor deliveries, proper refilling with flexible sales spaces, and efficient internal movements of goods.Your Responsibilities:
Replenish sales spaces before store opening.
Ensure commercial filling of goods in sales spaces using knowledge of flexible sales spaces and efficient merchandising techniques.
Utilize door to floor movement of goods thereby lowering costs through efficient goods handling.
Ensure efficient internal movements of goods in the store using a manual or motorised pallet jack.
Accurately monitor and document goods receiving on the sales floor.
Utilize product knowledge and article information.
Adhere to inventory control procedures to ensure accurate inventory counts.
Maintain a clean, organized work area following waste management guidelines.
Use available resources to educate yourself on Goods Flow Concept and range information.
Contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is strong and where the diversity of our co-workers and customers is valued and embraced.
Assume responsibility for projects and tasks as they occur.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge:
Knowledge flexible sales spaces, commercial merchandising techniques and how to make them work.
Computer aptitude.Capabilities/Motivation:
Strong interest in home furnishings.
Will and ability for further development within IKEA.
Desire to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Service orientation and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team and to perform physical work.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to lift 100 lbs. 50kg) on a regular basis. Additional Information This position is in Elizabeth, NJMust be able to work all shifts!
