Purchasing Coordinator
Seville Classics is seeking a full-time Purchasing Coordinator who will work out of our International Headquarters in Torrance, California. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the management of the planning, purchasing, and price negotiations for the company’s consumer products.
- Obtaining quotes and negotiating pricing, delivery, and other terms with our key Asian suppliers/factories and recommending specific suppliers that meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Interacting with all departments within the company and improving the department, with a focus on cost savings and minimizing total procurement costs.
- Highly credible and professional interface with company’s key suppliers/factories and capitalizing on their internal design expertise in pursuit of most cost effective design solutions.
- Placing orders and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Analyzing market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material/product availability.
- Studying, monitoring, and measuring all economical, political, legislative, and capacity influencers within the market to determine potential implications to current and future materials cost and availability.
- This position highly supports sourcing, product development, and sales.
- Need to be willing to travel internationally (up to 25% of the time) and preferably have experience in multicultural sites (will be working with our international offices and factories/suppliers outside of U.S., mostly in China and Taiwan).

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree required
- A successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of or interest in purchasing
- Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Ability to influence others through excellent written/verbal communications, negotiation skills and strong multitasking capability
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
- Purchasing management and/or import experience a definite plus, but not required
- Wholesale/Retail industry experience a plus, but not required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus, but not required
- Bilingual (English & Chinese) a strong plus, but not required
- CPM, advanced degree, or global sourcing experience a plus, but not required
- Proven to be number and detail orientated, and candidate must be improvement driven
- Strong people management and interpersonal skills
- Smart, organized, attention to detail, and great attitude a MUST!
