Purchasing Agent

High profile construction materials distributor seeks talented purchasing professional to join centralized purchasing team. Candidates must be customer focused and oriented towards sales growth.

Responsibilities:

Maintain established inventory levels for assigned products
Monitor and adjust buy points to ensure proper inventory levels
Maximize inventory turns
Reduce dead inventory
Assist sales with the growth of assigned products
Establish and develop strong relationships with vendors
Evaluate prospective vendors and their products REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

3+ years purchasing experience with progressive responsibility
Strong negotiation, communication and organizational skills
Supply Chain Management or general business degree
