Production and Inventory Control Manager will be responsible for effectively managing the demand of finished instruments and spare parts, optimizing the distribution inventory; leading continuous improvement activities for material control functions, (Kanban, cycle counting, transaction automation) in the Lexington manufacturing plant, providing day-to-day managerial support for staff involved in those activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning and Master Scheduling: Responsible for the effective design and implementation and continuous improvement of a decentralized Master Scheduling process across multiple product lines.

Inventory Control: Responsible for the management of cycle counting program in all inventory locations of the plant and external warehouse.

SAP Functional Expertise: Through detailed knowledge and usage of the SAP Manufacturing, Materials Management, and Supply Chain modules, be the primary resource for your team for training, problem solving, and coordination with our IT team on any and all issues that arise out of normal daily functioning and periodic upgrades.

Sales & Operations Planning: Lead the Sales and Operations Planning process. Prepare and present historical and forward looking data, coordinate meeting schedules and ensure implementation of changes that result from the meetings.

Team Leadership: Provide leadership to your team of materials professionals, help implement the vision of the Material Manager and VP of Operations for the development of a world class materials organization. Promote the use of Value Stream Mapping and other Lean tools for process improvement initiatives within your teams.

Reporting: Provide reporting of key metrics for the material organization on a monthly / quarterly / yearly basis including inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, order fulfillment rate and inventory levels. REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
BS degree in Business or Engineering. CPIM/CIRM certification. Demonstrated record of process improvement in relevant areas, experience with Lean Manufacturing is a definite plus.. Min. 8 years exp in materials for manufacturing company, 3 yrs in management position. Effective interpersonal skills. Computer literacy, ERP systems, SAP a plus. Knowledge of supply chain management strategies and concepts.
