The primary responsibility of the Production Control Manager is to manage the material planning, inventory control and purchasing functions to meet company objectives and customer requirements.
Performs daily, weekly and monthly planning activities to meet customer delivery and inventory objectives.
Determines and maintains a production plan to meet revenue and inventory budgets.
Communicates with sales, marketing and R&D on delivery and lead times for current and potential orders.
Implements and maintains MRP system.
Generates various material planning reports: inventory schedules, variances analysis, etc.
Tracks and maintains standard cost changes.
Leads purchasing activities (substrate and raw material procurement, vendor negotiation, alternative sourcing initiatives) while ensuring highest ethical standards.
Monitors suppliers’ delivery performance.
Adheres to all ISO and Company procedures.
Supervises department personnel.
Assumes other responsibilities as requested.
REQUIREMENTS
Production Control Manager Required Education/Experience:
Three plus years experience in production planning, inventory management and purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
APICS certification a definite plus.
Proven track record in production and capacity planning.
Strong analytical, negotiation and troubleshooting skills.
Computer efficiency in Excel, Access, and MRP software.
Effective communication skills.
