Position Title: Plant Logistics/Purchaser
Department: Logistics
Reports to: Vice President of Operations


Primary Function:
Purchasing, planning, implementing and controlling the efficient, cost effective flow of raw materials, finished goods, and storage for the North Sioux City canning facility.

Responsibilities:Purchasing of all packaging materials and ingredients for the North Sioux City pet food canning operationAssure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging suppliesImplement/control an annual raw material and packaging supplies budget.Assure on time delivery of finished products to our customers.Accomplish objectives by working closely with scheduling, production, and warehouse personnel.Assist in meeting the North Sioux City Plant team goals and objectivesDevelop and Maintain a long range quality and availability plan for key ingredients and raw materials.Manage ProfessionallyCommunicate effectively with peersDevelop self (and subordinates)Work effectively with others and other work unitsPlan, organize, control, and motivateSupervision (Include Position’s supervised):Plant SchedulerInventory Coordinator
