Part-time Expediter

Our customer, a local manufacturing company specializing in the design and fabrication of compressed air, gas, and liquid dehydration and purification systems, who's standard and custom packaged systems remove moisture and contaminants from process streams, is looking for a part-time expediter to pull together all the loose ends with their materials. This position may require a person to be involved in coordinating efforts along with the planning/scheduling department. There will be close contact with vendors and you may possibly help with the negotiating of supply contracts. Experience with procurement of raw materials and custom manufactured components is desirable. We need a person who is capable of working in an environment that is fast paced, an independent thinker that can operate comfortably in an ever-changing environment. Entering data into specific industry-designed software and communication via phone are the primary responsibilities of this position.
This position is part-time, working daily, Monday through Friday, approximately 25 hours a week. The hours can be somewhat flexible between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting. Candidates being considered for this position must be computer literate, must be extremely reliable, have an eye for detail, and must be very accurate in nature. They must possess excellent communication skills to work closely with other employees as well as vendors. Experience with procurement of raw materials and custom manufactured components is desirable.
