Company has over 20 years experience with both domestic and international customers primarily in the retail and hospitality industry. Company is seeking a Purchasing Manager to add to their team. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal are a must. Duties: Define and manage all operational issues. Assist in staffing personnel for the 2nd shift. Manage all employees on the 2nd shift. . Ensure product quality standards are meeting or exceeded by production crews. Maintain/improve production tracking systems to effect zero material inventory variance. Drives scrap improvements with Quality Manager. Work with maintenance to ensure equipment is in top condition. Qualifications: A minimum of five years of manufacturing management experience is required. Lean manufacturing experience a plus. Metal roll forming experiences a plus. Must be able to use information systems and basic programs such as Outlook, Excel and Word. AS400 experience also a plus.Salary Range: $42,000-$55,000 based on experience.
MILL SUPERVISOR / Direct Hire (Southern IN) - Local manufacturer of custom millwork is experiencing growth. Company is seeking a Mill Supervisor to join their team due to expansion. Position will direct the mill labor work force overseeing the efficient cutting and machining of wood parts ensuring quality standards and proper safety measures are achieved. Duties:Plan, prioritize and assign work activities to the mill labor team; Maximize production flow by lean set ups and load adjustments to keep a balance flow of work to assembly and paint.; Implement and sustain quality improvement measures with an emphasis on cutting and machine accuracy; Monitor day to day preventative maintenance requirements on the equipment; Develop and train new and existing personnel to maximize production potential; Display a positive team player approach supporting management objectives; Promote safety by communication and action; Promote cost savings initiatives. Qualifications: MUST have at least 2 years experience in milling operation field with supervisory responsibilities; Basic math and tape measure skills; Blue print reading; Problem solving; Ability to direct others; Basic computer skills; Display positive “can do” work ethic.Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000 based on experience. Company also has a very good bonus program along with profit sharing.
