As a Procurement Assistant B, you will research, purchase, and manage inventory on a daily basis and with state of the art technology. You also will build strong working relationships with vendors and other inter-company departments. The job encompasses: replenishing inventory on a daily basis, arranging bulk and package pick up/delivery, maintaining material cost and freight rate information, managing inventory, and serving as a source of information for Ashland sales representatives and customer service representatives.

To qualify, you will need the following:
* Two years of college
* 1-2 years purchasing or materials management experience
* Excellent communication (written & verbal) skills
* Strong math skills
* Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes
* SAP or similar ERP systems
* Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment as well as independently
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to change
