Night Operations Manager

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the efficient operation of the Distribution Center, delivering quality service to customers, and ensuring predetermined productivity and expense goals are met. This position is also responsible for the development, training and supervision of all warehouse employees.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

1.Monitors warehouse productivity and adhere to budget requirements and works toward obtaining Distribution Center objectives and Region goals.

2.Recommends and implements programs, policies and strategies to increase production and efficient space utilization within the facility.

3.Implements and administers all Corporate, Region and Distribution Center polices and procedures.

4.Handles customer correspondence, complaints and inquiries with regard to shipment of merchandise and stock on hand. Ensures quality service is provided to the customers.

5.Handles general employee inquiries and resolves concerns.

6.Responsible for employee growth and development including training, coaching, counseling and performance appraisals.

7.Prepares and submits daily and weekly production reports.

8.Maintain positive employee relations. Ensures that Cardinal Health’s EPIC Core Values and strategic drivers are consistently practiced.

9.Ensures that DEA and Security procedures are adhered to, and building is compliant.

10.Responsible for monitoring workload and staffing.

11.Assigns, directs and monitors order filling and release of trucks to meet on-time deliveries.

REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

•Excellent communication and organizational skills
•Proven ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
•Computer experience using Windows or an AS400 system, and prior pharmaceutical industry or distribution knowledge preferred.
•5+ years warehouse/operations experience required
•Supervise staff of 100+ employees in large volume facility

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or similar degree preferred. Two to four years of prior supervisory experience desired in a general warehouse/distribution environment. Pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
