Inventory Technician

This is an entry-level position that involves arranging and describing a radiology collection in a radiological archive. The goal is to identify and catalogue images and documents of medical interest for scanning.Responsibilities will include archival collection management, radiographic archive section, data entry, and processing images and documents for scanning. A large collection of over 250K images and documents from millions will be surveyed to identify appropriate image and documents of medical and scientific significance for a scanning project. In cooperation with the existing Archives staff, data located on the envelop containing the images and document, and/or on the images and document itself, will be transcribed into existing databases. Document prep work such as removing records/documents from storage, package records for shipments, image orientation, de-duplication, etc. will be performed. When the images and documents have been scanned and returned, partial quality review will be performed and the data will be checked and finalized, the original images and document matched to the scanned images and document and the data, and the images and document returned to its original location. The work should be checked for accuracy for a percentage of the Radiology cases.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree preferred. Minimum: Associate Degree in Business or High School Diploma with related experience required.
Computer skills are required to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point required. Visio and Access preferred). Typing of 45 wpm is preferred. Good communication skills, to include the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, are mandatory.
