Inventory Control/Operations Manager

Inventory Control/Operations Manager needed for busy floor covering company located in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago. This position requires a minimum of 5 years as an Inventory Control/Operations manager who has been responsible for all phases of inventory including shipping, receiving and return goods. This experience must include hands on set up of a computerized inventory program(s) from selection to implementation, set up of a warehousing facility, and all training/supervision of support staff, combined with the necessary accounting background to apply common inventory principles. Excellent organizational, computer, verbal and written communication skills are all required.

A team-player, can-do attitude is essential. The successful candidate will be a dynamic hands-on leader who works well under pressure, and is able to work side by side with our warehouse and accounting managers to facilitate work flow for all project and building needs, while focusing to achieve true Inventory Control. Other requirements of this position include the ability to lift up to 100 lbs frequently, forklift certification and a clean driving record. Experience in the floor covering industry, RF/Bar Coding or possessing a CDL license are all bonuses.

There is no shift work, but some overtime and/or weekends will be necessary. REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years experience within operations, inventory control and materials management field
Computerized Inventory program selection, setup and implementation experience
Warehousing/facility management experience
Experience in the use of warehouse equipment including forklift certification
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent Computer, verbal and written communication skills
Minimum High School graduate, some college is preferred
Clean driving record
Ability to frequently lift 100 Lbs
