Inventory Control Manager

Primary purpose of the role
Over-see all aspects of inventory control efforts and inventory personnel for the facility.Analyze physical inventory, establish and maintain inventory discrepancy investigations, and generate appropriate reporting to maintain adequate inventory levels and appropriate control.ResponsibilitiesHire, manage and train Order Support Clerks and Cycle Counters on proactive approaches to inventory methodology.
Train production management and QA personnel on the proper methods for resolving quality, production and inventory related issues in the site’s warehouse management system.
Establish processes and procedures that support and record production and inventory activities.
Accurately maintain inventory balances between DM+ and SAP in order to preserve inventory integrity.
Establish departmental guidelines and policies to support accurate production related entries in SAP for proper costing and invoicing.
Over-see all inbound deliveries with respect to scheduling, re-directs and OS & D issue resolution.
Monitor all quality issues for inbound production related materials; providing feedback and support to customer and their vendors.
Perform all recall and quality holds for operation – assign and release holds based on feedback from QA or QRC.
Monitor and track in-house damage levels and implement programs designed to reduce in-house damage.
Implementation and verification of the quality control procedures in the event of product recall, contamination, distress and disposal.
Constant review of processes that challenge claims and differentiate between internal and external accountability. Communicate these discrepancies to improve customer satisfaction.
Accountable for the proper identification and repackaging of damaged product with regard to disposal or the return to inventory as damaged merchandise.
Maintain thorough knowledge of both DM+ and SAP in order to provide extensive support to the production management team as well as the customer for inventory and production related issues.
Manage, perform and track all production related variances in SAP and DM+.
Perform and monitor all EOR reconciliation processes for production Bill of Materials in DM+ and SAP.
Oversee repack material arrivals, their inventory accuracies, and the complete reconciliation in DM+ and SAP so the appropriate invoicing can occur.
Monitor and maintain RF equipment inventory and budget
Generation and distribution of weekly reports that summarizing inventory accuracy through the use of cycle counts.
Timely communication with customer representatives regarding inventory issues including the existence, cause and resolution of inventory variances.
Conduct yearly performance evaluations on all employees in the inventory control department.
Timely communication of inventory issues with the Operations Manager, Shift Managers and Shift Supervisors.
Provide constant feedback to the Shift Managers and Shift Supervisors regarding operational accuracy in areas such as inventory, shipping & receiving, production and repack orders.
Maintain a positive attitude and instruct others in the proper methods by leading through example.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules.
Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Any other duties as assigned by the General, Operations or Materials Managers.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications/Skills
Bachelor’s degree or work related experience in accounting/finance or inventory control.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of both DMPLUS and SAP
4-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment3-4 years of supervisory experience
