Inventory Associate II

Description:

Responsible for the tracking of inventory between locations and the month end reconciliation to physical counts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Coordinate and communicate with marketing, production and warehousing in order to properly record the daily inventory transactions of receiving product, transferring product between locations and issuing product out of inventory.

*Reconcile monthly inventories to physical counts at all locations, including dairy production to physical count.

*Coordinate and communicate with AR to accurately confirm orders for invoicing, including verification of documentation.

*Coordinate and communicate with production, and warehousing to facilitate maintaining inventories on a current basis to provide the most accurate information for other departments.

*Coordinate and communicate with outside plants for the release of product for shipment.

*Participation in physical inventories when required.

*Generation of General Ledger entries pertaining to inventory.

*Filing documentation.

*Participate in special projects as required.

*May include working one or more days per week at Wilton, Chaseburg or other CROPP locations.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Skills:

Education, Training & Work Experience:

*Minimum of a two year accounting degree from a technical college, and two to four years of work experience in accounting

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

*Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and other similar computer packages.

*Knowledge of a computerized accounting/inventory package a plus.

*Good verbal and written communications skills.

*Organized with attention to detail.

*Accuracy and timeliness are critical to success.

*Knowledge of the dairy industry preferred.

*Willingness to accept additional work responsibilities.
