Develop and recommend strategic plans and annual budgets to achieve goals and objectives.
Manage, direct and motivate managers and staff to successfully achieve budgets and performance goals.
Responsible for all employment decisions for the department to include staff selection, training, development, evaluations, promotions, compensation, discipline, and termination.
Provide strategic and tactical direction in regards to implementation of new Manhattan Associates PkMS Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Supervise and work closely with WMS Project Manager and Business users to develop and implement a plan that meets cost-benefit expectations of the organization.
Responsible for leading the forecasting team to the next level of driving inventory reduction and service level improvement.
Manage multiple Forecast Analysts and continue training them on the fundamentals of Demand & Supply Planning. Support product procurement and product selection activities with statistical analysis.
Review sales trends and implement parameters to support seasonal strategies.
Partner with Finance to manage and report on the inventory procurement.
Manage inventory warehouse control systems. Ensure inventory control optimization across all locations by providing direction, training, development and support to Operations users.
Provide actionable direction to field inventory and operations managers to maintain in-stock levels, maximize turnover, maximize fill rates and minimize lost sales.
Pan life cycle of every sku in the business with a clear exit strategy that maximizes profit per sku.
Identify and help manage excess and obsolete inventory. Maintain company goals for inventory levels and turns.
Special projects within inventory management to support business needs.
Utilize inventory management techniques and financial management understanding to reduce the cost of goods sold for the business.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Engineering, Transportation, or Logistics related curriculum required.
Advanced Degree in Management, Business Administration or Other related curriculum preferred.
Minimum of 10 years experience in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Operations, Distribution or related areas.
Minimum of 3 years experience in front line management roles.
Prefer APICS CPIM or CIRM certifications.
Experience in a multi-site environment preferred.
Strong analytical skills coupled with financial and information systems literacy.
Knowledge of Warehouuse Management Systems, Purchase Order Management Systems, and RF scanning technology particularly in a distribution environment. Manhattan Associates PkMS WMS experience a plus.
Experience in statistical data modeling and forecasting methods.
Ability to identify major opportunities for improvement in cost savings and customer service.
Ability to communicate company-wide benefits due to functional projects and gain buy-in.
