Commodity Manager - Innovations

Creates, coordinates and executes within many cross functional internal and external business teams to provide innovative packaging and processed food solutions for New Products. Represents the Supply Base Management commodity management team to launch New Products in a timely structured manner to meet Sales budgetary objectives. Works with commodity managers to identify solutions with existing supply base and sources new suppliers when no current "fit" is found. For new suppliers, maintains timelines for new component introduction, negotiates contracts, secures initial specifications, quality and food safety documention, and hand off sheets for release to the commodity manager and tactical buyers. Assists Co-packing group with leads for services. Secures all paperwork required for National Quality and Legal. Maintains project timelines.
REQUIREMENTS
4 Year College Degree or equivalent. Advanced degree or applicable experience. 5 Years hands on experience in Factory Opeartions, 5 Years experience in Factory Materials Management and Inventory Control, 5 Years experience as Purchasing Analysis or like positionDesired Qualifications :Incumbent must have the ability to work with and support corporate multi-functional teams. Must have strong interpersonal skills and maintain good working relationships with other SBM staff members, corporate team members and suppliers. A good general knowledge of all packaging and condiment solutions is necessary to determine the most efficient path to finding solutions for new product development. Good computer skills in desk top software and company systems.
