Central Inventory Specialist

Domino’s Pizza is looking for someone to join our Maintain High Standards division in a Central Inventory Specialist role.
Responsibilities include: Inventory Planning responsibilities include schedule incoming inventory shipments for multiple DCs; Develop economic order quantities which maximize company profits by balancing product and freight costs with inventory carrying costs and distribution center storage constraints; Meet Distribution’s commitment to Customer Service by ensuring DCs maintain adequate inventory levels to achieve 98.5% First Time Delivery Accuracy rate to stores; Work with DC Delivery & Service Team Leaders and vendors to create backhaul opportunities and thereby maximize control over inbound shipments, reduce DC operating expenses and increase DC profitability. Home Office Freight Department; Work with freight department to source vendors for the purpose of achieving lowest possible freight costs through bidding process; Achieve optimum carrier selection for DCs to ensure the best value for incoming and outgoing freight; Research opportunities to combine shipments for multiple DCs for the purpose of reducing inbound freight costs by eliminating LTL shipments; Work with purchasing to achieve optimum vendor selection for DCs to ensure the best value for stores; Create forecast information for communication with vendors for the purpose lowering product costs by allowing them to better managing their raw material purchasing and production scheduling.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related work experience; Knowledge of databases, SQL, query writing, PeopleSoft a plus; 3-5 years inventory planning, freight scheduling and/or purchasing experience; Ability to travel 2-3 times per year; Minimal evening and weekend problem resolution via pager and/or cellular phone
