Book Development Coordinator

BOOK DEVELOPMENT COORDINATORNorth American Membership Group (NAMG) has an exciting opening for a Book Development Coordinator. As part of its marketing program to members of its affinity clubs, NAMG develops some of the publishing industry’s best how-to books on a wide variety topics ranging from hunting, fishing and woodworking to crafting, golfing and cooking. With an exciting new opportunity at hand to re-tool much of this content for a retail marketplace, this new position will coordinate the development of those books, along with other core titles for NAMG’s line-up. Responsibilities center around shepherding book projects through the entire development process from concept to publication, ensuring on-time delivery with each stage of the process while maintaining editorial integrity, quality and accuracy. Scheduling, maintaining budgets, clearing text and photo rights, routing material, coordinating content reviews, formatting copy, light editing, proofreading, verifying changes, creating purchase orders, and working with print vendors, are some of the key tasks associated with this position.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have a college degree in journalism, English or a related field and have 1-2 years editing, publishing and/or project management experience.
