Underwriting Support

Large, well-established company needs individual with prior office experience and excellent customer service skills to process the following: check requests, applications with stop payments, pending requirements when received. Will type follow-up letters and other correspondence, input additional CWA, assist with phone interviews, make verification calls and provide status information to agent/applicant. Other functions include follow-up on application and agent problems and on all pending requirements. Also will provide status information to agent/applicant, and generate debits on agent commission account. As needed, filing, as well as miscellaneous duties as assigned by management/supervisor team.
Possibility of training to be an underwriting backup.

REQUIREMENTS
Excellent Excel/Word skills required (merge letters) Type 45+ wmp minimum. Good keystrokes, alpha/numeric a plus. Will be tested.
Bilingual (English, Spanish) preferred
Must have excellent customer service, interpersonal, and phone skills
Self-starter with willingness and ability to learn
Must be sharp, detail-oriented, thorough
Must have ability to concentrate for accuracy and to work independently and as a team player
