Responsibilities:

B7 At the direction of the Manager of Credit and Underwriting, the Senior Underwriter performs complex loan file review and underwriting to determine compliance with established company guidelines, underwriting philosophy, policy and procedures.

B7 Ensure timeliness, accuracy and at productivity levels established by management.

sp; Exhibit appropriate professional behavior including integrity, flexibility, results orientation and the ability to interact effectively with others in a team atmosphere.

B7 Underwrite to E Trade Financial and its Investors underwriting guidelines and credit policy while consistently achieving a minimum daily productivity of 8 loans completed per day

B7 Maintain customer service commitment of 24-hour turn around t!
ime as exceptional service and not to exceed 48-hour turn around time as standard service.

B7 Assist with second signatures and loan exceptions in Managerb

PAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Return all calls within 1 hour of receipt.

B7 Assist internal staff in finding alternative solutions to loan issues and provide advice on loan restructuring.

B7 Provide assistance to staff by being open and available to answering questions on loan decisions, documentation requirements and general underwriting policy.

B7 Provide timely responses to Quality Control, Audit and Investor loan Delivery or Suspense issues.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Required Skills:

B7 5-7 years conventional first mortgage and Home Equity second mortgage underwriting experience. Minimum of 2 years prior experience underwriting for a high volume, retail residential loan center.

B7 Experienced in using automated underwriting systems including, DU, LP, Clout and Asset Wise preferred.

B7 Experience working in a retail and!
/or whol
esale lending environment that utilizes a centralized call center with an on-line lending platform offering multiple loan programs and investor guidelines.

B7 Ability to fulfill loan file underwriting function by analyzing credit, income, assets and property.

B7 Familiar with industry-standard underwriting practices.

B7 Must have a thorough understanding of FNMA, FHLMC, Non-Conforming, Alt-b

style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">B7 Effective verbal and written communication skills.

B7 Must have working knowledge of various automated underwriting systems including DU, LP, CLOUT and Asset Wise.
