Salary: $56,900 - $85,300.
This position is responsible for handling major loss claims of insured's and involves on-the-scene investigation evaluation and adjustment. Responsible for confirming coverage, inventorying losses, determining amount of damage and issuing drafts to pay claims. Has unlimited draft authority to settle losses. Supervises the handling of "converted" files, and provides advice to regional office personnel on claims not "converted". Out of town travel required for investigations and loss handling. On call at all times to receive and adjust catastrophe losses. Fieldwork contains many safety hazards. Hard deadlines required due to the severity of losses handled.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Academic and theoretical knowledge equivalent to a college degree with related claims experience. Level of proficiency equivalent to 7 years of related experience. CPCU and IIA preferred. Continuing education courses on new and changing auto and property manufacturing and construction methods are highly recommended.
